anybody else find their stock engine oil dipstick less than usefull? as in, I can never tell *exactly* whether I have enough oil or not. The metal barb on the end is always wet with oil.I warm the car up, shut it down, then let it sit for 1/2 hour than check the fluids. I check it three times, wiping it clean each time. Every time I do this, I get very different readings. it's never consistant. I'm considering shaving down one side of the barb. My theory is that there is oil on the dipstick orifice tube that the barb is picking up. just wanna know if everyone else hates the metal barb deal.
Married men live longer than single men, but married men are a lot more willing to die.
